Leicester Civil Rights Movement Public Meeting


On Saturday 21st November Leicester Civil Rights Movement (LCRM) organised a public meeting at the Secular Hall entitled ‘stop cuts to ESOL (English as a second language) fees and health costs for renewing asylum applications’. There were several speakers at the event including TREC’s own Tahera Khan. They discussed several topics of interest including the impact of the cuts to ESOL on individuals and communities, the potential resultant impact to society, and the actions being taken by one union to get this addressed and reversed.
